Pedestrian Plan Steering Committee
Pedestrian Plan Steering Committee
The Buncombe County Pedestrian Plan Steering Committee is a new advisory group that will help shape the vision, goals, and strategies of the plan. The plan will focus on creating a connected network of sidewalks, crosswalks, and safe walking routes that link neighborhoods to schools, job centers, parks, and other essential destinations. Members will review public input and draft recommendations and ensure the plan reflects the voices of Buncombe County residents.
Why It Matters
Walking is one of the most accessible and sustainable forms of transportation. This plan will help ensure that residents in unincorporated areas have safe, convenient, and comfortable options to walk where they need to go.
