Swannanoa Virtual Design Workshop
Swannanoa Virtual Design Workshop
Buncombe County Government is hosting community land use design workshops as part of the process to create the Swannanoa Small Area & Resilience Plan. The Swannanoa Plan includes communities such as Riceville, Lytle Cove, Oteen, Patton Cove, Buckeye Cove, Bee Tree, Lake Eden, and more. The design workshops are offered in-person at several events, as well as this virtual option. The purpose of the workshop is to gather information from the public about land use-related needs in Swannanoa. Topics include housing, transportation, hazards, the environment, economic development, recreation, and downtown Swannanoa. This information will be used to create a Future Land Use Vision Map (FLUM), as well as answer important questions about the community's needs and preferences related to density, development, conservation, amenities, disaster risk tolerance, and more.
INSTRUCTIONS: This poll is broken into separate tabs, with a different topic on each tab. Click the 'Continue' button at the bottom of each page to move between sections, or use the tabs at the top to jump to a topic area that interests you. The more questions you answer, the more your input helps to shape the policies and actions that Buncombe County will adopt for the future of Swannanoa. Note: If you already attended an in-person design workshop on December 3, 4, or 8, you do not need to complete this virtual version.
